About me

I’ve always been fascinated by jewellery. Not so much the sparkly, shop window kind of jewellery, but more the worn and loved, missing stones and tarnished metal kind. I have many happy memories of searching through family jewellery collections with my mum and sister, remembering which grandmother or great aunt wore which piece and on which occasion. Stories of love, loss and life carried with the jewellery from generation to generation.

My own collections are handmade in my home studio in Winchester — aka the greenhouse. I create sustainable, simple and easy to wear designs, taking inspiration from loved pieces handed down to me or found when scouring flea markets and antique fairs, both at home and on my travels. I work mainly in sterling silver, and love the contrast between textured and smooth metal finishes. I believe that jewellery should be special, yet comfortable enough to wear everyday, each piece locking in memories of people, places and occasions.

I grew up in the North East of England, then spent many years living in London, Edinburgh and California, and am now settled with my family in Winchester, England. I have taken numerous silversmithing courses, including at Central St Martins Art College in London and Edinburgh College of Art. I continue to learn and develop as a jeweller and silversmith, and love nothing more than creating new designs at my workbench.

When I am not creating jewellery, I love practising and teaching yoga, running in the early morning, walking with our family labradoodle, Daisy, or spending time with my husband and our four children… who are my true heartbeat and inspiration.
